  I'm only going to talk to you just for a minute or so this evening because I have some -- some very sad news for all of you -- Could you lower those signs please? -- I have some very sad news for all of you and I think sad news for all of our fellow citizens and people who love peace all over the world; and that is that Martin Luther King was shot and was killed tonight in Memphis Tennessee.

  Martin Luther King dedicated his life to love and to justice between fellow human beings. He died in the cause of that effort. In this difficult day in this difficult time for the United States it's perhaps well to ask what kind of a nation we are and what direction we want to move in. For those of you who are black -- considering the evidence evidently is that there were white people who were responsible -- you can be filled with bitterness and with hatred and a desire for revenge.

  We can move in that direction as a country in greater polarization -- black people amongst blacks and white amongst whites filled with hatred toward one another. Or we can make an effort as Martin Luther King did to understand and to comprehend and replace that violence that stain of bloodshed that has spread across our land with an effort to understand compassion and love.

  For those of you who are black and are tempted to fill with -- be filled with hatred and mistrust of the injustice of such an act against all white people I would only say that I can also feel in my own heart the same kind of feeling. I had a member of my family killed but he was killed by a white man.

  But we have to make an effort in the United States. We have to make an effort to understand to get beyond or go beyond these rather difficult times.

  My favorite poem my -- my favorite poet was Aeschylus. And he once wrote:

  Even in our sleep pain which cannot forget

  falls drop by drop upon the heart

  until in our own despair

  against our will

  comes wisdom

  through the awful grace of God.

  What we need in the United States is not division; what we need in the United States is not hatred; what we need in the United States is not violence and lawlessness but is love and wisdom and compassion toward one another and a feeling of justice toward those who still suffer within our country whether they be white or whether they be black.

  So I ask you tonight to return home to say a prayer for the family of Martin Luther King -- yeah it's true -- but more importantly to say a prayer for our own country which all of us love -- a prayer for understanding and that compassion of which I spoke.

  We can do well in this country. We will have difficult times. We've had difficult times in the past but we -- and we will have difficult times in the future. It is not the end of violence; it is not the end of lawlessness; and it's not the end of disorder.

  But the vast majority of white people and the vast majority of black people in this country want to live together want to improve the quality of our life and want justice for all human beings that abide in our land.

  And let's dedicate ourselves to what the Greeks wrote so many years ago: to tame the savageness of man and make gentle the life of this world. Let us dedicate ourselves to that and say a prayer for our country and for our people.

  很多人都读过这样两句诗:旧时王谢堂前燕,飞入平常百姓家。王谢是晋代闻名遐迩的两大家族。谢家以谢安为代表,淝水之战以少胜多一代良相堪称高洁典范。王家自然是以王羲之为代表,竹扇题字入木三分一代书圣实属名流千古。

  这就是我的偶像——王羲之。“清风入袖,明月入怀”,人们用绝妙的比喻形容王羲之的书法,他的代表作品是《兰亭序》,作品的笔法、墨气、行款、神韵,无不为后人赞叹景仰。他是一个没有真迹存世的大书法家,然而后人对他的书法作品却是推崇备至,如痴如醉。他的故事也是家喻户晓,妇孺皆知。

  绍兴市西街戒珠寺内有个墨池,传说就是当年王羲之洗笔的地方。 王羲之7岁练习书法,勤奋好学。17岁时他把父亲秘藏的前代书法论著偷来阅读,看熟了就练着写,他每天坐在池子边练字,送走黄昏,迎来黎明,写完了多多少少的`墨水,写烂了多多少少的笔头,每天练完字就在池水里洗笔,天长日久竟将一池水都洗成了墨色,这就是人们今天在绍兴看到的传说中的墨池。

  王羲之练字专心致志,达到废寝忘食的地步。他吃饭走路也在揣摩字的结构,不断地用手在身上划字默写,久而久之,衣襟也磨破了,功夫不负有心人,有一次,他为人写一块匾在木板上写了几个字样,送去叫人雕刻。刻工发现字的墨渍竟渗入木板里面约有三分深。

  从幼儿园开始,妈妈就开始让我练习书法。在书法学习的路上,我哭过也闹过。每次练习,一站就是一两个钟头,不仅十分乏味,还累得腰酸背痛。于是我开始抱怨妈妈,为什么要送我来学习书法?后来渐渐明白,学习书法真的

  妈妈说,时机成熟的时候会给我办一个书法作品展。我也很期待有这么一天,把自己的作品供给大家来观看,这或许是对我多年努力的最好肯定吧。也许有人会问,练书法,又不能走捷径,年复一年,日复一日,你不累吗?我会说,当然!累的时候,也曾有想放弃的念头,但想起王羲之,竟把池塘变墨池,清水变成黑水,我的这点辛苦又算得了什么呢?他对书法已经达到了忘我的境界,而我,还只是一个在门外观望的猎奇者。于是,在柔和的灯光下,我又重新振作精神,铺开宣纸,倒上浓墨,为着自己的梦想继续前进!

  I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.

  Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because we the people have remained faithful to the ideals of our forebears, and true to our founding documents.

  So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.

  That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.

  These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land — a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights.

  Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America — they will be met.

  On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.

  On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.

  We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.

  In reaffirming the greatness of our nation, we understand that greatness is never a given. It must be earned. Our journey has never been one of shortcuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted — for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things — some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom.

  For us, they packed up their few worldly possessions and traveled across oceans in search of a new life.

  For us, they toiled in sweatshops and settled the West; endured the lash of the whip and plowed the hard earth.

  For us, they fought and died, in places like Concord and Gettysburg; Normandy and Khe Sahn.

  Time and again these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction.

  This is the journey we continue today. We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions — that time has surely passed. Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.

  For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act — not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. All this we will do.

  Now, there are some who question the scale of our ambitions — who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans. Their memories are short. For they have forgotten what this country has already done; what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage.

  What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them — that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward.

  Where the answer is no, programs will end. Those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account — to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day — because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.

  Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill. Its power to generate wealth and expand freedom is unmatched, but this crisis has reminded us that without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control — and that a nation cannot prosper long when it favors only the prosperous. The success of our economy has always depended not just on the size of our gross domestic product, but on the reach of our prosperity; on our ability to extend opportunity to every willing heart — not out of charity, but because it is the surest route to our common good.

  As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals. Our founding fathers ... our found fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations.

  Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake. And so to all the other peoples and governments who are watching today, from the grandest capitals to the small village where my father was born: know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman, and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and that we are ready to lead once more.

  Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

  We are the keepers of this legacy. Guided by these principles once more, we can meet those new threats that demand even greater effort — even greater cooperation and understanding between nations. We will begin to responsibly leave Iraq to its people, and forge a hard-earned peace in Afghanistan. With old friends and former foes, we will work tirelessly to lessen the nuclear threat, and roll back the specter of a warming planet.

  We will not apologize for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defense, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you.

  For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus — and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this Earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace.

  To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West — know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.

  To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to the suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world's resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it.

  As we consider the road that unfolds before us, we remember with humble gratitude those brave Americans who, at this very hour, patrol far-off deserts and distant mountains. They have something to tell us, just as the fallen heroes who lie in Arlington whisper through the ages. We honor them not only because they are guardians of our liberty, but because they embody the spirit of service; a willingness to find meaning in something greater than themselves. And yet, at this moment — a moment that will define a generation — it is precisely this spirit that must inhabit us all.

  For as much as government can do and must do, it is ultimately the faith and determination of the American people upon which this nation relies. It is the kindness to take in a stranger when the levees break, the selflessness of workers who would rather cut their hours than see a friend lose their job which sees us through our darkest hours. It is the firefighter's courage to storm a stairway filled with smoke, but also a parent's willingness to nurture a child, that finally decides our fate.

  Our challenges may be new. The instruments with which we meet them may be new. But those values upon which our success depends — hard work and honesty, courage and fair play, tolerance and curiosity, loyalty and patriotism — these things are old. These things are true.

  They have been the quiet force of progress throughout our history. What is demanded then is a return to these truths. What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility — a recognition, on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, and the world, duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task.

  This is the price and the promise of citizenship.

  This is the source of our confidence — the knowledge that God calls on us to shape an uncertain destiny.

  This is the meaning of our liberty and our creed — why men and women and children of every race and every faith can join in celebration across this magnificent Mall, and why a man whose father less than sixty years ago might not have been served at a local restaurant can now stand before you to take a most sacred oath.

  So let us mark this day with remembrance, of who we are and how far we have traveled. In the year of America's birth, in the coldest of months, a small band of patriots huddled by dying campfires on the shores of an icy river. The capital was abandoned. The enemy was advancing. The snow was stained with blood. At a moment when the outcome of our revolution was most in doubt, the father of our nation ordered these words be read to the people:

  "Let it be told to the future world ... that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive...that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet (it)."

  America, in the face of our common dangers, in this winter of our hardship, let us remember these timeless words. With hope and virtue, let us brave once more the icy currents, and endure what storms may come. Let it be said by our children's children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God's grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations.

  记得在冰心作品中,有这样一段话“爱在左,责任在右,走在生命之路的两旁,随时播种,随时开花,将这一径长途点缀的花香弥漫,使穿枝拂叶的莘莘学子,踏着荆棘,不觉得痛苦,有泪可留。便觉得幸福”。我想这段话正是无数教师的内心写照,激励着每个人无悔的奋斗在教育一线上!

  今年九月份,我怀揣着希冀,和刚入学的孩子们一样,正式的走进校园,走入课堂。感受新的环境,融入新的集体。这是一所全新的学校,崭新的校舍,崭新的面孔,除了经验丰富的领导层外,全部任课教师都是刚刚入职。起初还有些担忧,在没有资深老教师的引领下,这所年轻的学校将会有怎样一个未来?但时间见证了一切,给了我一个满意的答复。学校领导对事务的处理有序而高效,对教师的关心细致而周到。我们努力的新教师们,为明天的学校而享受着工作的快乐,在爱的过程中收获成果。虽然缺少经验,但有足够的激情和热情,不惜熬夜奋战,克服网络的不便去网吧查询材料,每一次面对任务的来临都竭尽全力!在领导的指引下,在同事的感染下,我也逐渐树立起主人意识,用心去做每一件事,真诚对待每一个人,为打造精品学校共同努力!将我满腔的爱赋予学生身上,有时会因他们的调皮而埋怨;因他们的'退步而急躁;因他们的违纪而失态;虽然有时会很累很烦,但是心中总会涌起一种强烈的责任感:我是老师,我要为这些寻梦的孩子引路,相信每一个孩子的心灵都是一颗纯净的种子,在老师爱的沐浴下长成参天大树。

  我们是幸福的,见证着每个孩子的成长,我们是幸运的,感受着自身的成长!我们是孩子的老师,同时,孩子也教会了我们许多。开学典礼上,老师们朗诵完《我骄傲,我是一名老师》后,柴铭远对我说:“老师,你们朗诵的太好了,我都快要哭了!”那一刻,他教会了我孩子内心也有感动,要用心去呵护!秋季趣味运动会上,在教师接力赛时,我们组跑了倒数第二名,在走回二班时,杨欣怡对我说:“老师,你尽力了!”那一刻,她教会了我孩子内心的宽容和理解!外教课上,由于Sam老师体型偏胖,几个活动下来满头是汗,于鑫杨就踮着小脚拿纸巾给外教老师擦汗,那一刻,感动的不仅仅是外教老师,她也让我学到了孩子发自心底的那份关怀与真诚!和孩子们共同成长,是每位老师都触手可及的幸福!

  所以说,教师不仅仅是我们的职业,更是我们的事业。每一位学校人都把自己的那份爱默默的奉献给学校,递给同事,捧给孩子。这也体现了师德就是一种伟大的精神,一种神奇的力量。它是源自于每位教师心中的爱,源自于心灵深处的芬芳。亲爱的老师们,让我们用爱,用真情去关爱学生,让时间来见证,让祖国的花朵来见证,这伟大的师德力量!

尊敬的女士们、先生们:

  今天,我怀着身为美国人的高度自豪感和身为人类的谦恭心情,向你们说一句从前任何人都无权说的话:"我们在月球上散步了。"但是,在宁静海基地留下的脚印,不仅是属于"阿波罗十一号"的全体航天员的,而是由全国数以万计的人所共同留下的,他们是政府、工业界和大学的人员,是这些年来在我们之前为「水星号」、「双子座号」和「阿波罗号」辛勤劳动的工作小组和全体航天员。

  那些脚印是美国人民和你们的,你们是美国人民的代表,你们接受并支持了那不可避免的登月计划的挑战。同时,既然我们是为全人类的和平而踏上月球,那些脚印也是属于全世界人民的。对于所有在悠悠转动的`地球上仰望夜空的人,月亮都勺洒银光,绝不厚此薄彼;因此,我们希望,太空探索的成果也将由大家平等分享,从而始整个人类带来和谐的影响。

  科学考察意味着对未知世界的探索,人们根本无法预知全部结果。查尔斯.林白说过:"科研成果不是最终目的,而是一条通向奥秘而又消失在奥秘中的道路。"

  当我们向全世界敞开门窗,让外界了解我们的成就和失败时,当我们同世界各国分享我们的发现时,我们在太空方面取得的成就,已成为我国生活方式的象征。

  「土星号」运载火箭、宇宙飞船的「哥伦比亚号」与「鹰」等机舱外活动装置都已向尼尔、迈克和我证实:我国能够生产质量最高和最可靠的设备。这给予我们所有人以希望和鼓舞,以便解决地球上某些更为困难的问题。「阿波罗号」所给予我们的启示是,只要有足够坚强的意志去干,国家的目标是能够实现的。

  踏上月球的第一步,也是踏上太阳系各行星和最终走向太空其它星球的一步。"对一个人来说是一小步",这句话阐述的是事实;而"对人类来说是一大步",则是对未来的希望。

  我们国家在「阿波罗」计划上的做法,可以运用来解决国内问题,我们在未来太空探测计划中所做的工作,将决定我们的跃进究竟有多大。谢谢大家。

  大家好!

  我们如何做一名语文教师。

  有一位动物行为专家,出于良好的愿望,为了培养猩猩的创造力,在一个空房间里,为一只黑猩猩设置了一串挂在半空的香蕉和几个散乱的可以叠起来的木箱,然后他关上门,从门上的小孔中向里窥视。然而,他看到的却是另一只乌溜溜的眼睛——那只猩猩也正在向他窥视!

  我并无意于把我们可爱的孩子比作猩猩,有的时候,我们自己却像这位专家一样做着失败的实验,惊然发现工作的进程没有按照我们预设的轨道前进,在某种意义上,使我们从事的职业陷入了荒诞。六十年代中期,美国发起了一场“非学校化”的运动,他们的口号是:“取消学校!”。因为学校制度貌似平等,实则极不平等。学校俨然以知识的垄断者自居,把极小一部分规定的知识转变成一种商品,将学生规定为这些知识的硬性消费者,使用文凭这一手段进行强行的贩卖。该思潮代表人物伊里奇在此提出了一个著名的概念:隐蔽课程——只有学校教育才能为每个人的成长作准备,凡是学校里不传授的东西,便是无价值的。而这又必然导致更为极端的观念:只有通过考试才能为每个人的成长作准备,凡是不考试的东西,便是无价值的。爱因斯坦说:“做同样的`工作,它的出发点,可以是恐怖和强制,可以是追求威信和荣誉的好胜心,也可以是……每个健康儿童都具有的天赋的好奇心,只不过这种好奇心往往很早就衰退了……”我们的儿童早已没有好奇心了,如果有的话,也只是对教育者古怪的行为感到好奇,正如那只向外张望的猩猩一样。

  “考试是指挥棒”,此言非虚,但最多只对了一半,“棒”则“棒”矣,然非“指挥棒”,而乃一枝狼牙大棒,谁若置若罔闻,定遭当头棒喝。很长一段时间以来,我和我的笨小孩们都感到深深的痛苦。我们在狭细的路途中经常被迫陷入形而上的沉思:“教育的终极目的是什么?”轰轰烈烈的大背景下,理想的答案离我们多么遥远——佛学大师池田大作如是回答:“教育的根本课题是在于说明和回答人类应当怎样存在,人生应该怎样度过这些人类最重要的问题。”英国历史学家阿诺德·汤因比说:“教育的正确目的,归根结底是宗教性的东西,不能只图利益。教育应当是一种探索,使人理解人生的意义和目的,找到正确的生活方式。”

  也许有人会说这些已经不再适应时代了,那么我们究竟处于怎样一个时代?可以移用狄更斯《双城记》的开首语:这是最好的年月,这是最坏的年月;这是智慧的时代,这是愚蠢的时代;这是信仰的新纪元,这是怀疑的新纪元;这是光明的季节,这是黑暗的季节;这是希望的春天,这是绝望的冬天。

  这样一个时代,我们如何做一名教师?我们如何做一名语文教师?

  我以为,语文教育在此时代应有两个目标:也就是传统文化的承继和纯正的审美趣味。

  教书如人饮水,冷暖自知。将我们的感受圈成一枚硬币,痛苦是一面,快乐即是另一面。我希望,在以后的某一天,每一位爱孩子及他们的未来的教师都能快乐着孩子的快乐。我希望,在以后的某一天,每一位了解我们工作的艰辛与不易的人都能快乐着我们的快乐
